It was amazing. We wrapped up the lessons, turned in all homework\/ life stories\/ online assignments, had 5 guest speakers &#8211; 2 of which I&#8217;d been <a title=\"24\/7 Foster\/Adoption Support Line\" href=\"http:\/\/beccablogs.com\/?p=2635\" target=\"_blank\">put in touch<\/a> with months ago via my <a title=\"Mysterious Phone Call\" href=\"http:\/\/beccablogs.com\/?p=2619\" target=\"_blank\">MPC<\/a> &#8211; and lots of food. So. Much. Food. During the breaks and after class we chatted with everyone, exchanged phone numbers and got even more information about the local associations. I can&#8217;t believe it was our last class!<\/p>\n<p>Seriously, didn&#8217;t we just attend <a title=\"Orientation! #LongestPostEver\" href=\"http:\/\/beccablogs.com\/?p=2643\" target=\"_blank\">orientation<\/a> like yesterday??<\/p>\n<p>Now begins the long trek through the finger printing, references, physicals, final home visit and so much more. And then, finally, a Fletchling.<\/p>\n<p>We were told we would be assigned a Case Worker within 2 weeks of class ending. Imagine my surprise when I got a phone call yesterday with our new CWs name!! Yes, it honestly was the greatest <a title=\"And in my 37th Year\u2026\" href=\"http:\/\/beccablogs.com\/?p=2842\" target=\"_blank\">birthday<\/a> gift ever. Eh. Ver.<\/p>\n<p>Oh, you want actual dates? Let&#8217;s see what I can plug in&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Updated <a title=\"Gigantic Recap and Update\" href=\"http:\/\/beccablogs.com\/?p=2716\" target=\"_blank\">Timeline<\/a>\u2013<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Classes ended last Tuesday (<em>dear self, do not drive to class tonight!<\/em>)<\/li>\n<li>We were assigned to our ACW yesterday and she will do our Home Study which includes a second and maybe third <a title=\"After the First Home Visit\" href=\"http:\/\/beccablogs.com\/?p=2687\" target=\"_blank\">home visit<\/a> and all the paperwork\/ fingerprinting.<\/li>\n<li>Once the Home Study is completed, we are officially in \u201cthe books\u201d<\/li>\n<li>We search, they search, I use all the amazing resources I have accumulated, we get matched &#8211; ummmm, November? December? I have no idea.<\/li>\n<li>From there we have several informal meetings and sleepovers with the child and then he will move in with us after an unspecified amount of time.<\/li>\n<li>We keep hearing different \u201cchild in home\u201d answers so it could be anywhere from 1 month to 6 prior to the adoption being finalized.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And somewhere in there we have to <a title=\"Furnishing the Little One\u2019s Bedroom\" href=\"http:\/\/beccablogs.com\/?p=2803\" target=\"_blank\">furnish the Fletchling&#8217;s bedroom<\/a> and piece together a computer for homework. And I have to knit the other 75% of <a title=\"Blankie Progress Post\" href=\"http:\/\/beccablogs.com\/?p=2791\" target=\"_blank\">the blanket<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This was taken last night.
