Just testing a theory

image

Just seeing if I can use my blog as a photo poster thing for Facebook and Twitter. With a different theme and probably different URL.

Also, I saw these 3 Doctor Who items for sale at the bookstore last night. I totally want them all. Especially the adipose fat baby.

West Virginia Vacation Photos & a Future Giveaway

Wow, did we really get back from West Virginia 3 months ago? I miss it. While it was a really small town we were staying in and traveling around, it was fun. I met both my sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, 2 nephews, and saw my brother-in-law and mother-in-law again, as well as meeting several of Steve’s friends from when he lived there.

About a month ago, I received an email from Jessica at Inkubook. She saw that I had previously blogged about my amazing experiences with Inkubook (here) and graciously offered up the opportunity for a giveaway for my readers and another book for me to review. Now, I’m not doing the giveaway in this post, but will hopefully be posting it in the next couple of weeks. I want to wait until I have the book in hand.

In the meantime, here is a small sampling of the pictures I took during our week in West Virginia. It really makes me want to move up north so we can be in the mountains!

The Inkubook Photobook widget requires Adobe Flash.

I really hope y’all can see the book as I can’t no matter how many times I install and re-install and re-install Adobe Flash Player. It also doesn’t care that I have a full version of Flash CS4 on my computer. So, good luck to you!

Canvas Prints: Help Us Pick, Please

Hello friends!

So, our one year wedding anniversary is coming up in about a week (I know, right?!) and I finally decided to make the canvas that I have been wanting for oooohhhhh a year. And what does that mean to you? It means I’d like you to please help me decide which photo to pick.

Yes, yes, there are a lot of them, but I just love them all! Issues, I have them. There were 11 of them, but I broke it down to these 5. The first 2 were taken on our wedding day right after we were pronounced Mr & Mrs by Trey at Scenic Las Vegas Weddings. The last 3 were taken at our Trash the Dress session 2 days later by Jessie and Jason of The Emerics. Can’t you see why I’m so torn??

If you want to see them larger, clicky clicky. 🙂

Three- Taken by The Emerics || BeccaBlogs.com Four- Taken by The Emerics || BeccaBlogs.com

I love all these pics! Actually, I currently have Three as my iPhone screen picture and Four is my computer desktop picture.

Lightning over Miami

Lightning over Miami | BeccaBlogs.com

I took this photo on July 17, 2011 around 6:45pm heading south on SW 137th Avenue and about 184th Street in Miami, FL. It was one of many from my iPhone and the only one that actually got some lightning flashed in it.

Steve already said I need to blow this up and print it out. Wonder if I can Etsy it too… 😉

For Sale: Picaboo… I can’t use you

Picaboo Calendar | BeccaBlogs.com

SOLD! Thanks to everyone that helped by reposting/ retweeting!

Last year, we purchased 2 Picaboo Groupon codes. My plan was to use them to make the photo books for our reception pictures. Seeing as our photographer didn’t show up, we have nothing to put in the books. I was really excited when they introduced their canvas prints as I could finally make use of the code. But no dice. It was just confirmed that codes are not for use on any of their prints.

Bummer.

So I’m selling the codes. They were the “$25 for $100 worth of items from their site” codes. You can use them for any of the photo books, calendars, or cards listed on their site. The $100 value includes tax and shipping. If the total price exceeds $100, you pay the difference. Easy peasy, right?

They expire August 12, 2011 – just over 2 months from now.

If interested, please either comment or shoot me an email. I am asking for the purchase price of $25 each and will accept Paypal as payment. In exchange, I will email you the codes in a PDF format – the exact same way I printed them after we purchased them.

Many many thanks!

Thank You Notes Revealed

I totally forgot to post this! About a week or so ago, I ordered our Thank You notes from OvernightPrints. For those curious, I designed them in PhotoShop CS4 using their basic guidelines to ensure everything stayed in the printing lines, popped it onto their system and boom, ordered! One of the main reasons why I love OvernightPrints over VistaPrint is they don’t charge an upload fee.

After finally deciding to go with a horizontal photo, I messed with different fonts, wording, and layouts. In the end, it was down to 5 pictures. We chose the following picture and simply Thank You in a beautiful script font…

And of course gave credit to our fabulous photographers, Emeric Photography on the back of the card. I just love the blue, but maybe I’m biased…
