Living in the Now, With the Positive

I am going to try something new. Being positive about my life. Crazy, right? I need to make a change bc there is way too much negativity surrounding me. It is part of the reason why I haven’t been blogging. Honestly, I just don’t feel like I have anything to share.

To start the change, I began selling AVON (saving that for another post), bought a few self-help books (namely A Complaint Free World and a few by Deepak Chopra), and basically rearranged my mindset. Oh, and removing the negative people from my life as much as I can. That part is pretty difficult, but with minimal interaction, I have to make it work.

Anyone want to join me in turning our lives into better and more positive? I know there are a few of you that are struggling as well. It’s kinda like a diet, we can support each other and lift each other up.

Let me know!

I’m totally on the same bandwagon. I think my ‘negativity’ is likely from the ‘baby-blues’ but I have never felt so down. And this is after having number 2! BUT, I have began doing the same thing as you. Finding the positives around me and overcoming the negatives.

I tell myself – there has to be someone worse off than me so be thankful for what I have and my husband always says – don’t sweat the small stuff.

I have also found to think of ONE positive thing for the day and to come back to that positive thought when ever starting to feel down. I’m thinking of writing it down on a daily basis too just to track it and remind myself.

    Certainly starting to feel better….

Great timing because I really could benefit from having an accountability buddy right now. I understand the issue about being surrounded by negativity all too well, and I also know too well how it can affect your own moods. For over 7 months it’s been plaguing me, and you’ll notice crickets chirping over at my blog, too. We can do this. We can make our lives ones worth living and make those dreams come true.

This is a really great thing to read. Good luck to you. I need to work on the same. I’ve felt isolated and unhappy all too often over the past year, and my plan when I moved back from Portland was to focus on the good things here and less on the bad. I can’t wait to see you move through your journey. 🙂
